Dear Clarksville Middle School Families;
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment, Clarkville Middle School routinely practices safety procedures and emergency operations in accordance with Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) guidelines.
We want to inform you that our school will conduct multiple scheduled drills tomorrow August 26. During period 2 we will be practicing Evacuation and Shelter, and during period 6 we will be practicing Lockdown, Hold, Secure, and a second Shelter drill. Completing these drills in a cluster will help us be fully prepared and understand the differences between the different actions.
See here for the slides we are sharing with students tomorrow to help them understand what we are doing and why. You can find more information on each of these drills and the HCPSS protocols here: https://www.hcpss.org/safety/.
