The CMS PTA welcomes you and your family to the 2026–2027 school year! During the summer you may have seen us at one of the Popsicles with the Principal events or at the New Student Orientation. We also welcomed the CMS staff back to school with a Hot Potato Bar Luncheon on 8/21 and hosted the CMS Back to School Picnic last Friday. We hope you enjoyed the music and food while sharing your stories of summer adventures with friends.
If you haven’t already, please become a member of the CMS PTA. Memberships and donations supply important funds that allow us to provide programs, events, and support for the coming school year. Join and donate today.

Back to School Night
September 2 | 5:45–8:00 PM
The CMS PTA will be in the Media Center/Library throughout the evening to answer your questions and help you learn more about the PTA. More information about the evening’s schedule is available here.
General Membership Meeting
September 9 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Join us for the first meeting of the school year to see how the PTA operates, hear about our plans for the year, and vote on the 2026–2027 CMS PTA budget. This meeting will be held in person in the CMS Media Center.
Restaurant Night — Chipotle
September 15 | 4:00–8:00 PM
Chipotle donates 25% of your purchase during this time to the CMS PTA! Present our social media flyer or mention "CMS PTA" at the register or use code 37A827E for online/app orders at the Chipotle in FULTON (11811 W. Market Place). Thank you in advance for not making dinner!
VOLUNTEERING
Fall After School Recess & Social
October 9 | 2:35–4:00 PM
How about recess that isn’t part of lunch? Let your student stay after school to play in the beautiful fall weather. Pizza, snacks, and water will energize students during this fun time. Pickup is at 4 pm. Tickets are $7 and available NOW on our website. The volunteer signup for this event is also available! The CMS PTA is looking for six volunteers to help staff our Fall After School Recess & Social on October 9. You could referee games (no experience necessary—we’ll provide the rules!), pass out snacks, or help make sure students stay within the reserved activity areas. Come be part of the fun as you spend time with our CMS students! Sign up to volunteer here.
Want to Take a More Active Role in the PTA?
We would love your help! We are currently looking for an After School Activity Coordinator, as well as volunteers
who would like to help plan and manage upcoming events. You are never volunteering alone, and we will help you

REFLECTIONS
Calling All CMS Artists!
PTA Reflections is an annual, nationally acclaimed student recognition program that encourages students to explore their creativity and express themselves through the arts. This year’s theme is:
“What My Culture Means to Me”
Students can participate in a variety of categories, including dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Learn more about Reflections and how your child can participate at the National PTA Reflections website. All submissions from CMS students must be submitted electronically to clarksvillptareflections@gmail.com by November 1.
