2018 Summer School Registration

Online registration for Comprehensive Summer School classes will begin on February 1st at 3pm through February 15th. The online registration windows will be open from the 1st through the 15th of every month, February through June. On-site registration dates will be available for students needing access or assistance completing the form. Important registration information is detailed below.

JumpStart program for the 2018-2019 school year

HCPSS has announced an innovative program that enables students to earn up to 60 college credits while in high school. Offered in partnership with Howard Community College (HCC), JumpStart is designed to give students a valuable head start in earning a college degree or preparing for a career at a greatly reduced cost.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2017-18 Essay Contest

The Howard County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission will host their Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration on Sunday, January 14, 2018, 2:00pm at Reservoir High School. The event theme this year is: "If I cannot do great things, I will do small things in a great way." Middle and high school students are encouraged to participate in this essay contest. The essay question this year is: "How do you translate Dr. King's vision in today's times?" Students are invited to write an essay about what small things they are doing that might contribute towards a greater cause and what they envision themselves doing in the future to keep Dr. King's dream alive. Students with disabilities are encouraged to submit their essays using other media types to portray their ideas.
