Offered in partnership with Howard Community College (HCC), JumpStart is designed to give students a valuable head start in earning a college degree or preparing for a career at a greatly reduced cost.
Thu, 11/16/2017 - 11:13amThe Howard County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission will host their Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration on Sunday, January 14, 2018, 2:00pm at Reservoir High School. The event theme this year is: "If I cannot do great things, I will do small things in a great way." Middle and high school students are encouraged to participate in this essay contest. The essay question this year is: "How do you translate Dr. King's vision in today's times?" Students are invited to write an essay about what small things they are doing that might contribute towards a greater cause and what they envision themselves doing in the future to keep Dr. King's dream alive. Students with disabilities are encouraged to submit their essays using other media types to portray their ideas.
Tue, 11/14/2017 - 9:30am(SMOB) Anna Selbrede will be holding an open forum for any and all HCPSS students to voice any questions, concerns, or just talk. The forum will be held at the Homewood School on December 13th, from 6:30-7pm.
